Event Description
The purpose is to develop film literacy and promotion of film as an art. Our humanistic approach focuses on culture within an “art over tech” ethos. A growing body of academic research highlights how important it is for young people to familiarize themselves with the classics of world cinema; and just how potent filmmaking is as a tool for hands-on learning. It provides space for the development of creative and analytical skills like scriptwriting (creative writing/poetry), cinematography (fine arts), as well as acting, costume and prop designing (theater), editing (technology/rhythm), and sound design (music).
